Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles is member of the Service régional d'admission au collégial de Québec (SRACQ) since 2002, and the cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles offer a french speaking and an anglophone section.

Conditions of admission

To be admitted to the CEGEP de la Gaspesie et des Iles a regular student must:

In order to be admitted to a program leading to a diploma of college studies (DEC), candidates must meet the following three requirements:

1. The person has a Secondary School Diploma and is in one of the following situations:

1. The candidate holds a Secondary School Diploma (DES) in the Youth Sector or in the Adult Sector
    
   NOTE: a DES holder that has not succeeded the following courses :
   • Secondary V Language of Instruction
   • Secondary V Second Language
   • Secondary IV Mathematics
   • Secondary IV Physical Science
   • Secondary IV History of Quebec and Canada
   will be required to complete remedial courses.
    
2. The candidate holds a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) and has successfully completed the following subjects :
   • Secondary V Language of Instruction
   • Secondary V Second Language
   • Secondary IV Mathematics
    
   
3. The candidate received instruction deemed equivalent by the college :

2. Satisfy, if need be, the special conditions for admission established by the Minister which specify the program prerequisites.
3. Satisfy, if need be, any special conditions for admission established by the college for each of its programs.

Recovery Courses

The English Section of the CEGEP de la Gaspesie et des Iles offers recovery courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. These courses are designed for students who are eligible for admission but lack the prerequisite courses to register in the program they have chosen, or to students whose background have been judged insufficient for them to register in regular courses.

Residence

Residence accommodation is available on the Gaspe campus for all students registered at the college. Available in the residence are :

• 285 places (coed) in single and double rooms, individually or in apartments
• billiard tables, laundry rooms, television rooms, and lounges;
• cable television, telephone lines and Internet access;
