The course I took in the adult sector does not appear on the “Or equivalent” page on the admission predictability site.
Only the most common adult education courses have been added to this screen. If you took your courses a few years ago, they may not appear on the list. In this case, calculate the weighted average of the modules you completed for this course and indicate this average on the line corresponding to the youth sector course.
How do I enter the grades I received for my adult sector courses on the admission predictability site?
In the second step, next to a number of courses, there’s a link called “Or equivalent”. By clicking this link, you will be able to enter your grades for this adult sector course and obtain the grade to enter on the transcript.
How precise is the admission predictability tool?
The admission predictability tool was originally designed for students enrolled in the youth sector at secondary schools and it produces the most precise results for this clientele. There are a few situations that will adversely affect its precision: -the candidate has failed more than one secondary school course; -the candidate has repeated several adult sector secondary school courses; - or the candidate has obtained his/her secondary school diploma several years ago. Generally speaking, the greater the number of courses for which you are unable to enter data in step 2, the greater the likelihood that the risk calculation will produce an imprecise result.
How do I enter a course for which there is no grade (for which I’ve received either an ACC or EQU notation)?
In the case of a course for which you don’t have a grade, you have to enter the general average you obtained in secondary 4 and 5 in the grade space and leave the other spaces (average, fifth percentile, percentile score) empty. To calculate your general average, you just add up the grades for all the courses on your transcript and divide the total by the number of courses.
